Service Fees

While finding the time and money to put toward your health and wellness can be difficult, we encourage you to prioritize this. No matter the dollar price, it may cost far more to not go to therapy when, for instance, the problem is affecting your well-being to the point that it affects your ability to sustain relationships that are important to you, to be a productive employee or student, or to manage depression or anxiety. The return on investment that psychotherapy and counseling can provide makes it well worth the effort and sacrifice.

If you are hesitant to pursue therapy due to the cost, we would be happy to discuss this with you and work to identify alternative options or referrals to meet your needs.

  • Your therapy rate will vary based on the length of your counseling session, whether you are going through health insurance, and the types of services you receive. Average rates range between $125 and $155 per 55-minute session.

We accept several forms of payment, including cash, check, debit/credit card, or Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Receipts are available for health or flexible savings account reimbursement claims.

If you are uninsured or have chosen not to use your insurance to pay for services through our office, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost.

  • Our Life Coach offers a FREE initial consultation and charges $150 per session for subsequent appointments.

Life Coaching services received through our office are not covered by insurance.

  • We accept Aetna, United Healthcare, UMR, Cigna, Optum, BCBS Massachusetts (video appointments only), Tricare*, Oscar Health, and Oxford plans.

Unfortunately, our practice is unable to accept straight Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans at this time.

*We are certified Tricare non-network providers. This means we can only accept Standard and Select plans. Please be aware that you may have a small out-of-pocket deductible to meet before Tricare begins covering your services.

If you are not covered by these plans, we can work with you as a private pay client, and we can offer an invoice after each session, which you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement or to request that the session cost be applied to your yearly deductible.

Life Coaching services received through our office are not covered by insurance.

  • Unfortunately, our practice is unable to accept Medicare plans at this time.

  • We are a credentialed provider of Health Advocate EAP, United Healthcare, Aetna EAP, and Wellspring EAP for counseling/mental health services.

Through these EAP programs, we are available to work with individuals for a predetermined number of sessions at no cost to the client. If your employer has contracted EAP services and you would like to receive counseling through my practice using your EAP benefits, you must first contact your EAP directly to obtain pre-authorization for counseling services.

For more information about possible EAP benefits available to you, we encourage you to contact your employer’s Human Resources department.

  • Missed and late canceled appointments (not due to an emergency or illness) will result in a $50 fee.

Missed and late canceled appointment fees are due before the start of the next scheduled appointment.
