Gelila is a compassionate psychotherapist known for her warm and empathetic approach. With years of experience in the field, she is a licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH14542) in the State of Florida. Gelila grew up in Ethiopia, East Africa, and is fluent in both English and Amharic, making her well-equipped to serve a diverse clientele with cultural sensitivity and understanding.

Gelila earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Marshall University and has since established herself as a mental health generalist. Her personal and professional experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the variety of cultures and the unique perspectives of different subsets of people.

With a strong commitment to supporting individuals through their mental health journeys, Gelila specializes in addressing relationship and family issues, caregiver stress, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. She firmly believes in the transformative power of counseling, advocating that insight and coping skills developed through therapy can significantly improve one's quality of life.

In her clinical approach, Gelila employs an integrative method, drawing primarily upon person-centered and cognitive behavioral theoretical models.
